Carrying particularly fascinating provenance, this very early production 1928 Ford Model A was assembled in November 1927, before being shipped to Scandinavia via Denmark and delivered new to Sweden, where it remained until 1998. According to registration documents on file, it was subsequently exported to the US and owned by U.S. Representative Charles F. Bass of New Hampshire, before being sold to Stephen Ciccalone, also of New Hampshire, in 2006. Mark Smith acquired the Ford from Mr. Ciccalone at auction in October 2013.
Featuring attractive green paint and a black soft top over brown upholstery, this early 1928 Ford Model A wears an older restoration that has aged gracefully, showing lovely patina. Believed to be the earliest Model A Ford known, this very special machine can add historical significance to its many intriguing qualities.
